Watch How This Bulldog Impresses Everyone With His Incredible Agility At A Dog Show

A close up of a bulldog in a field.

We probably view Bulldogs as gentle, but seemingly lethargic and lazy dogs.

Bulldogs have a wide body, wrinkled foreheads, and droopy mouth with an underbite. This type of breed also has a tendency to snore and drool when sleeping. Even though they have a muscular built, Bulldogs are known to have low-endurance and prone to weight gain and obesity. They walk slowly and gently, and if Bulldogs can talk, they will probably have a deep, sleepy voice.

Playing sports and being active seems unlikely to be part of a Bulldog’s lifestyle, and moving around often is not their favorite thing to do.

However, this Bulldog from Ohio proved to us he can break down stereotypes.

Von Rudolph Augustus Perkins or Rudy —  is a chunky but lovable Bulldog who competed in the Westminster Dog Show. He was in the 16-inch class and joined by his handler, Debra Perkins.

Westminster Kennel Club is known as America’s long-running organization for purebred-dog sports. The dog show is held every year, at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. This dog show now includes Masters Agility Championship and the Masters Obedience Championship.

Professional Runner Ran Marathon With His Pup

The shadow of a marathon runner running on the street.

Since our dogs are our best friends, they’re not just there to guard your home or help with watching over your animals on your farm. Dogs need to bond with you as their owner. A good way for them to do this is by joining you in your outdoor activities. We all know that they hate being left alone at home. Who wouldn’t?

Our pups have a playful nature, and this is the perfect link between you and your dog. When it’s time for you to play, why not bring them along? If you are going to the beach or the lake, they are the perfect companions. If you are going for a jog at the park, might as well take them too.

For professional marathon runner Scott Smith, it’s easier said than done. See, Scott is an elite runner and running is his profession. He represented the USA team back in the Beijing Olympics and he is a member of Hoka One One Northern Arizona Elite, a professional running team. So a run with his dogs, Murphy and Lizzy, is not that simple.

Stranded Puppies Were Saved By A Construction Worker

Two black bear cubs are walking on a dirt path

When I heard about this story, I remembered a comic scene on TV where a passenger vehicle stopped to let a lady ride. The lady was with a child and asked, “Are children free to ride”? Then without any hesitation, the driver, of course, said yes. The driver wondered when the lady asked him to wait. The lady rushed to her house, opened the door, and then a wave of kids entered the vehicle, occupying all the space.

The driver absolutely didn’t see it coming, just like what happened to Sebastian Bushey, a 28-year-old construction worker in Washington State. He was near the Grande Ronde River heading home from work when he saw a puppy some 75 yards off the road. It was burning hot, at around 105 degrees, that afternoon and the poor puppy must be very hungry or thirsty.

Dog is Man (and Woman’s) Best Friend

The bond with a true dog will never be broken.

We all know the age old adage that dogs are man’s best friend right? It is believed that dogs are the first domesticated animals. Ancient people have left artwork showing their close relationships with canines throughout history.

We here at Doggy Times love to celebrate our best friends! What about you?

Now it’s time to have a fun video to show you just how much we love our furry dog friends.

Shortly after Sharla Wilson moved into a new place in Pittsburg, she felt she needed to apologize to her neighbors. See her aging pug, Charleston was getting lost in the unfamiliar apartment and crying out for Sharla.

A neighbor took a quick photo of the adorable apology letter. That photo quickly made its rounds on the internet and got almost 500K likes. Many dog lovers responded. Most of them were ok with the adorable Pug howling for his owner.

The letter

Hello, Neighbors!

My name is Charleston Chew and I’m very sorry for my howling.

I’m an old man now, with cataracts, and sometimes I get real scared because I can’t see where I am and can’t find my mom.

As I get used to my new place, I will start to settle down.

Thanks for being patient with me. I don’t mean to be such a pain.

Stationed in the North Atlantic, D.K. Adams suffered three concussions and blunt force trauma during his service as part of the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Over a 30 year period, these injuries resulted in Veteran Adams losing most of his sight. He has endured over 33 surgeries to his eyes. This has included a partial corneal transplant in his fight to keep the five percent vision that remains in his right eye.

To journey through his challenges, Adams turned to writing. He has authored a series of books for children, all featuring his service dog Ace.

Adams has channeled his struggles with losing his sight into writing a series of books, including three children’s books, starring his service dog, Ace.

The book series centers around Ace and shows the world from his dog’s angle. This whimsical approach shows readers the perspective of visually impaired people and the types of trials they can face.
