This Kid Just Found His Dance Buddy

A baby and a dog are playing in a living room.

It is such a wonderful experience to see kids have fun and enjoy their friends’ company. The video below displays the kind of friendship we all want our kids to have and experience. Also, through this video, you will learn to appreciate a very essential life lesson from a young boy and a dog. In addition, seeing this video will definitely leave smiles on your faces.

The dog started spinning and dancing in exchange for some treat from its owner. The moment the child saw how the dog enjoys dancing, he started imitating the moves of the dog. He thought it was fun! He follows the dog’s movements, spinning around and giggling in his every action. The way this boy giggles and blushes are indications of his pure happiness from this experience.

Meghan Markle And The Queen Found A Common Ground In Dogs

Queen Elizabeth II walks with a group of people and dogs.

Meeting your significant other’s family is an anxious event that truly tests your nerves. The main goal is to be liked by them, but you want to keep it genuine and shy away from overselling yourself. Cold sweats and a lot of smiling will be your companion at this moment, but more often than not, everything else falls into place.

For Hollywood actress Meghan Markle, it shouldn’t be hard to please anyone. Her presence alone is enough to charm people around her. In fact, other people should be the ones vying for her approval, instead of the other way around. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, knowing that she is a big TV star from the hit series Suits and a couple of other projects.

There’s only a tiny bit of problem and you might’ve heard about it already – her in-laws are the British Royal Family. Meghan Markle is a big star in Hollywood no doubt, but if anyone’s the bigger star, it’s the Queen. Good thing they found a common interest – their love for dogs.

4 Long Years Later, Family Dog is Reunited with Family

A couple walking their rescued dog down a path.

After four years of missing their pet, this Michigan family is reunited with their dog.

The 12-year-old dog was found wandering in Toledo, Ohio, by a police officer. The dog, named Bambi had been reported lost in Lansing, Michigan. The owner, Bradley Wieferich, was so happy to hear of the unbelievable news.

Not a Prank

Wieferich, told the local Toledo paper, The Blade, that when he first got the phone call from Lucas County Canine Care & Control that he thought it was a prank phone call. Bambi’s microchip stored Wieferich’s contact information for that call.

Laura Simmons-Wark, the shelter’s Community Outreach Coordinator, said [Bambi] “was very thin, but very sweet.”

Importance of Microchipping Pets

The shelter shared on social media, that although Bambi’s last four years of life wouldn’t be able to be discovered, they credited the family for microchipping her, which helped the reunion happen.

Obesity: How It Can Be Life Threatening To Your Dogs

A large brown dog laying in the grass.

Obesity in dogs is as bad as being obese in humans. All the extra weight your dog is carrying around will eventually affect your dog’s other organs. And when there is too much work for each of your dog’s organs, certain medical conditions will occur, and this often leads to death.

It is very important that owners are aware of the seriousness caused by canine obesity. In this post, we will be listing the most common medical conditions obesity can bring to your pets.

Ligaments, joints, and bones are damaged

More or less, one out of every four overweight dog develops some joint issues. Under normal conditions, bones, ligaments, muscles, and tendons function together to allow your dog to walk smoothly and efficiently. However, if they carry extra weight around, they become overworked and eventually damaged. The condition is called arthritis.

Furthermore, the increased weight can also affect the ligaments. Ligaments are an important part of the skeletal system since they connect one bone to the other. This knee ligament is prone to wear and tear and once it’s torn, the knee becomes unstable. Your dog will become reluctant to use it because it is also painful. The only way to repair a torn ligament is surgery.

A slipped disc is another disease that can occur if your dog is carrying all that extra weight around. Some dog breeds, like Dachshunds, are prone to developing this painful condition. So if you own one, see to it that they don’t become overweight.

Diabetes

Dogs can develop diabetes too. When a dog is obese, the extra weight will cause the body to increase insulin production. This is in response to the increased glucose level in the overweight dog. If the body is no longer able to supply the insulin needed, diabetes will occur.

Hypertension and heart disease

Obesity causes hypertension in dogs which often results in the increased workload of the heart. This condition will eventually lead to congestive heart failure.

When To Bring Dogs For Emergency Veterinary Care

It’s tough to decide when to take your pets to see the vet, more so if it’s right in the middle of the night or on the weekend. However, certain medical conditions warrant emergency vet care. Read on so you can learn more about these conditions to help you recognize and decide when to take your dog.

When there is difficulty in breathing

Dyspnea or having difficulty in breathing is an emergency. Your dog can exhibit choking signs, wheezing, or you may notice your dog is breathing from his mouth. Dyspnea can be because of several factors and should be considered a medical emergency.

Factors such as a lodged foreign material in the throat, a lung or heart problem, or an allergic reaction that’s severe – can all lead to dyspnea.

There is absence of appetite

Although the lack of appetite is not an immediate emergency, if it’s more than 24 hours already, it’s time to head to the vet. As with humans, we lose our appetite if we are under the weather or in pain. It goes the same with our canine friends. The downside to this is that it can usually cause dehydration and general muscle control.

Stranded Puppies Were Saved By A Construction Worker

Two black bear cubs are walking on a dirt path

When I heard about this story, I remembered a comic scene on TV where a passenger vehicle stopped to let a lady ride. The lady was with a child and asked, “Are children free to ride”? Then without any hesitation, the driver, of course, said yes. The driver wondered when the lady asked him to wait. The lady rushed to her house, opened the door, and then a wave of kids entered the vehicle, occupying all the space.

The driver absolutely didn’t see it coming, just like what happened to Sebastian Bushey, a 28-year-old construction worker in Washington State. He was near the Grande Ronde River heading home from work when he saw a puppy some 75 yards off the road. It was burning hot, at around 105 degrees, that afternoon and the poor puppy must be very hungry or thirsty.
